3. Subscription, Payment & Refunds

Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly). Payment is securely processed through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees associated with your chosen tier.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Profile Dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until that period ends.

Refunds: Because our service incurs high immediate API costs (Gemini processing), we generally do not offer refunds for partial months. Exceptional refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

4. Intellectual Property

Platform Ownership: The Service, including all code, design, branding, and proprietary algorithms, is owned by AI Essay Writer and protected by intellectual property laws.

Generated Content: You own the specific content generated through our Service based on your prompts. However, academic sources cited through Semantic Scholar API remain the property of their respective original authors and publishers.

5. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

No Warranty: The Service is provided "AS IS." While our AI is highly advanced and attempts to use real citations, we do not guarantee that the generated content is 100% accurate, error-free, or suitable for your specific academic requirements. You must always manually verify facts and citations.

Limitation of Liability: Under no circumstances shall AI Essay Writer be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our Service, including but not limited to academic penalties, lost grades, university expulsion, or other educational consequences resulting from misuse of the tool.
